Improv was
first introduced in the stone age. It was used to trick other Neanderthals
into giving up their food, shelter, or women. It has undergone a process
of radical development, and now it allows men and women to compete
in "intellectual" games that challenge the players and allow
for the audience, at home and in studios everywhere, to laugh at people
who are particularly funny.
It's also
a great party game if you're sober.
